After a long wait, and a bit of worry about how much snow has fallen, the lifts are now finally open. The Mountain Plus team were lucky enough to go and check out how the Portes du Soleil pistes were looking yesterday, and were not disappointed! Starting from Chatel, we made our way over to Avoriaz and had a number of lovely runs along the way. The snow at the top is nice and soft, and although another pre-Christmas dump wouldn’t go amiss there is certainly a nice base layer to get started.
We still have a few properties available for the Christmas week for those who fancy a last minute break in the sunshine – whatever happens there is certainly enough snow to get some skiing in, and nothing wrong with long lunches!
