Desalpes Festival

Liz and I have just enjoyed a hectic and warm week-end in Morgins
for the Desalpes Festival. All day the local farmers bring their prize cows
down the mountain for the winter. Many dressed up with magnificent flower headdresses
and children in traditional costume it was lovely time to celebrate the beauty
of the mountains.

It was a long sunny day, with local villagers  sat out in bars drinking wine
and eating cheese and dried meats of the region. This is a super time of year
in Morgins and one of the last outdoor events before the winter snow arrives.
Hope you like the pictures.
