March has been kind to us here in the Alps – probably to make up for the unpredictable weather earlier in the season. Whatever the reason may be, it has been a couple of weeks of deep powder snow, bright blue skies and après-ski on sunny terraces. Sun tans and tired legs all round after some great skiing! The nice weather even prompted the team at Mountain Plus to break out the touring skis and go for a morning leg stretch to counter the effects of festival food…
We are now half way through Rock the Pistes week in the Portes du Soleil – a week of concerts, fun and rock and roll on the pistes and throughout the resorts in the area. It kicked off in Les Crosets on Sunday with veteran Swiss rockers Gotthard, then continues through the week ending in spectacular fashion on the pistes of Morgins with Deluxe on Saturday afternoon. So with a number of concerts yet to be seen, hot dogs to be eaten, and perhaps the odd beer in the sun, we are looking forward to the rest of the week and a wonderful end of season!
